Die Formel 1 wird seit der Saison 1950 jährlich als Weltmeisterschaft ausgetragen und besteht derzeit (Stand 2009) aus 17 Einzelrennen, die jeweils als Grand Prix (dt. Großer Preis) bezeichnet werden. Die einzelnen Rennergebnisse werden anhand eines Punktesystems gewertet. Seit der ersten Formel-1-Saison wird der Weltmeistertitel an den Fahrer vergeben, der in der Summe aller gewerteten Rennen am Saisonende die höchste Punktezahl erreicht.

Die erste Folge startet in der NASCAR-Herzkammer Daytona, Florida. Hier findet das 50. Rennen der ‘Daytona 500′ statt. Sowohl für Newcomer als auch für etablierte Fahrer ist dieses Rennen eine gigantische Herausforderung. Das gilt ebenso für den ehemaligen kolumbianischen Formel-1-Piloten Juan Pablo Montoya. 2007 fuhr er in Daytona als Sieger über die Ziellinie.
